Trail Network

The network comprises over 40 km of scenic trails, tracked for classic skiing, meandering through boreal forests and along granite ridges of the Canadian Shield north of the Pinawa Channel; 6.5 km of trails packed for ski skating on golf course fairways; 0.5 km of lighted trails for skiing at night; and three warming huts with wood stoves providing cozy lunch and rest stops. The trails and huts are approved under a land-use permit issued by Conservation Manitoba. A description of the trails can be found here. The latest in trail conditions can be found here.

Trans Canada Trail

The WCCSC has been actively involved in the development and maintenance of a 26-km section of the Trans Canada Trail (TCT) starting from the Pinawa Dam Provincial Heritage Park; to the Pinawa Suspension Bridge and the east end of Highway 211; along the Ironwood Interpretive Trail through the town of Pinawa; along Natalie Lake; and ending at Seven Sisters Falls.
